Abstract

The glorious Quran is the everlasting miracle, whose newness will
never end and whose miracles will never expire. The scholars’ thirst
for knowledge will never finish by digging knowledge out of Quran.
It is the greatest sign of Allah, by which he helped his messenger
Muhammad (May peace be upon him). It is not a book of science but
it is a book for guiding mankind towards the right path. Even though,
it contains a number of scientific indications, critical description
about the nature and creation. This critical knowledge proves that it is
not created by any human being. Rather, it is a divine revelation from
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala. The more scientific facts are invented
the more Quranic miracles are proved. The new horizons of
knowledge are being explored day by day by the exploration of
modern sciences. Because, Quran encourages people for thinking,
searching and thus for new innovations. As Allah said, “We will show
them Our signs in the universe and within in their own selves until it
becomes manifest to them that it (the Quran) is the truth. But is it not
sufficient concerning your Lord that He is a Witness over all things?
(41:53)” For instance, Quran explains about different stages of
development of human embryo. Similarly, it discusses the system of
conjugal life, the size and the roundness of the earth, the law of
gravity and many aspects of medical Sciences. It mentions about
oceans and mountains. Among those scientific indications, the article
analyzes the scientific explanations behind some of the prohibited
things in the Shariah. For example, not eating dead animals, swine
meat and blood, not drinking wine and fornication and adultery. The
article presents that all these things that are not permitted in Islamic
Shariah have many social and scientific reasons which are beneficial
for human mind, body and society.
