Abstract

Ali Ahmad Ba-Kathir is one of the famous Arabic writers in
modern era, who have worked hard for enriching Islamic literature.
He has strong contributions in the field of Arabic stories and
dramas. He is among the generation of pioneers in this sector. So,
his contributions require study and research. The researcher has
tried, in this article, to present a short biography of Ali Ahmad Ba-
Kathir along with the effective elements of his literature and his
literary contributions. He has also mentioned here the literary and
terminological meaning of “Al-Nahdah”, “Al-Adab” and the
concept of Islamic literature. At last he has described the
contributions of Ba-Kathir in advancement of Islamic literature,
purposes of Islamic stories and dramas and general characteristics
of Ba-Kathir’s literature.
