Abstract

Direction to the correct meaning of wasatiyah (moderate attitude) of
Islam: As a revealed religion, Islam is the most beftting lifestyle to the
nature, normal behavior and most justified world-order to lead all
creatures of this earth to happiness and prosporous life. The mystries
behind the Islamic order to be so good are its basic and fundamental
guideline to the peace and harmony through balanced teachings of this
Din. Recent writtings and discussions obviously have been concentrated
on the moderate aspects of Islam. This is a good trend to eliminate
misunderstanings like so called Islamic terrorism etc. But, on the other
hand, some comments may mislead to guess that “Wasatiyah” means
merely midpoint of every thing. In fact, its a wrong conception. This
article is dedicated to explore through evidences from holy Quran and
Sunnah and observation that “wasatiyah or Ummatan Wasatan” its main
spirit is balance and justification of every thing which is the best in
position, positive in eventual result, dignified in prestige, just in rights,
closest to the human nature, above all, which is: prescribed by the
Almighity Creator.
This research work, hopefully, will show the right track of moderation or
mediterian position in its ture sense. This pathfinder research work is
expected to be a time-alert contribution to conscious readers of every
walk.
