تعليم اللغة العربية في مدارس بنغلاديش الابتدائية الحكومية : مشكلات وحلول
Abstract
Arabic is the language of the Holy Quran and the language of the
Prophetic Hadiths. They are the two important principles among
the four principals of Islam, the true religion. As a result, Muslims
have been giving emphasis on teaching Arabic to understand the
meanings of the Holy Quran and the Prophet's Hadith from the
beginning of Islam as 'Umar ibn-al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased
with him) stated: "Learn Arabic because it's your religious duty,
learn the Laws of inheritance because it's your religious duty." The
Arabic language is a foreign language for the children of
Bangladesh. It should also be noted that Bangladesh is a Muslim
country with a population of 86.6% Muslims. In our country
schools are of two kinds: modern schools and religious schools. In
this article we will focus on government religious schools. In our
country the number of these schools is more than one thousand and
seven hundred. The teaching of Arabic in these schools starts from
the first grade. The students of these schools have a strong desire
to learn Arabic. They spend many time and years but the most
students of these schools are not skilled in the Arabic language and
could not speak it. One of the main reasons for this failure is the
lack of appropriate textbooks for students and lack of experience
for teachers in the framework of teaching foreign language, and in
the teaching method. In this article, we will draw a picture of the
reality of teaching Arabic in these schools. Then we will look for
problems and finally we will make a few suggestions for solutions.
