Abstract

In our present global age foreign language learning is an ultra-modern
fashion and very significant for adjustment of anyone with the global
trend. Arabic is one of the most important languages from early history.
It is the mother of all languages. In our beloved Bangladesh, Arabic is
thought and learned as our religious and Qur`anic language.
It is known to all and recognized by all that, motivations and attitudes
provide the primary impetus to initiate learning the second or foreign
language. Then they drive the forces and influences to achieve and
sustain the language in learners. There is an effective and efficient
relationship among language learning, motivations and attitudes.
Without sufficient and necessary motivations one cannot accomplish
long term goals. So, the main focus of the current article is the
motivations of foreign language learning, especially the motivations of
Arabic learning in-general over all the world and in specific in
Bangladesh.
