Abstract
The textbook for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers is the
guide for the teachers and the authoritative reference for the
learners. It is one of the most important tools for learning Arabic
language and one of the cornerstones of the basic educational
process. It is called the silent teacher for the students. It is the first
source of information and the shortest way to access it in an easy
and organized manner. It represents a great value for each student
and raises the student's cultural wealth. It is the important means to
achieve the objectives of the curriculum and an effective medium
that is widely used. Therefore, the book for teaching Arabic to
non-speakers should be in a way that raises thoughts, positive
responses, feelings and emotions in our minds. It should be with
the composition of two main elements: format and content. The
title of my article is “A good textbook for teaching Arabic to nonnative
speakers: Methods of presenting the skills and elements of
language”. By this study I would like to show the characteristics of
a good textbook for teaching Arabic to non - native speakers and
the methods of presenting the skills and elements of language. This
study will identify the new ideas that relate to qualities of a good
textbook for teaching Arabic to non - native speakers. And it will
help the writers, teachers, readers and researchers to get the
instructions about a good textbook for teaching Arabic to non -
native speakers.
