Abstract

Mir Musharraf Hossain (1847-1911) was a famous Islamic novelist in
modern Bengali literature. Among his wonderful works: Bishad
Shindhwa made it possible for him to activate the feelings of Muslims by
presenting to the people the tragic case of our beloved prophet
Muhammad’s (Peace be upon Him) family members ($%
&'(), especially
the tragedy of his grandson Husain, May Allah be pleased on him. This
article aims to draw the attention to some mistakes and historical
disturbances made by novelist Mir Musharraf Husain in his famous novel
"Bishad Shindhwa". The study may help Bengali readers in general and
Muslims in particular to learn about these problems, to avoid those
statements, to preserve their faith and believe and to encourage their
feelings from extremism that are not allowed by Muslim law.
