الأمة الوسط: مزاياها ونماذج من تاريخها
Abstract
Allah (Subhanahu Wa Taala) has made the Muslims the best of
the nations and described them as a moderate Ummah. This
association between greatness and moderation indicates that
the grandeur can only be achieved through the practice of
moderation in all sphere of life e.g. in faith, thinking, action
and execution. The main characteristic that placed our previous
generation in the Golden Age in that high order was their
moderation. The current generation of the Islamic Ummah is in
deep crisis, partly because of the rejection of moderation from
all parts of life. A large number of the ummah tends to be nonreligious
and atheistic, and many others are biased towards
extremism and terrorism. It is now appropriate to present the
main characteristic of Muslims - including moderation - to the
whole nation in general and to young people in particular.
Proceeding from this need, I have made an effort to prepare
this brief article to present some of the characteristics that have
made the Islamic Ummah a moderate nation. Some examples
of moderation from the golden history of the ummah will also
be presented.
