Abstract

Unity of the Muslim Ummah is a target. Muslim Ummah’s
survival and existence depend on its execution, especially in the
modern era, in which the enemies of Islam and Muslims are
increasing all over the world. They are waiting to harm them and
abolish them. Nowadays the condition of Muslims all around the
world falls down in all regards. The reasons behind it are: the
detachment from the path of the Almighty Allah and the Prophet
Muhammad (sm), Indulgence in pleasures and disunity among the
Muslim Ummah, absence of just and honest leaders, weakness of
Iman, unwillingness to fight against enemies, economic great
differences between major people of the Islamic World, extension
of non-Islamic cultural programs, effects of intellectual wars
against the Muslim Ummah, media aggression, farness from
modern technology, weakness of teaching methods, ignorance,
heterodoxy and dominance of extreme poverty in some Muslim
countries, emergence of nationalism and racism trends in majority
Islamic countries.
On the ground of this situation, the Muslim Ummah gets up from
their deep sleep. So, the issue of unity in the Muslim Ummah
became desired and pursued by all Muslims. All concerned people
of the Muslim Ummah are thinking for solution from this burning
issue. On this background I think to write an article about this
matter titled “Unity of the Muslim Ummah: Its elements, crises
and treatments”. In this article, I have tried to highlight the
meaning of desired Unity of the Muslim Ummah, present situation
of Islamic world in social, intellectual, political and economic
sides, mentioning the importance and benefits of the unity of 

Muslims, touching the Holy Quranic Verses and Hadith of Rasul
(sm) related the subject, discussing the elements, bases of Muslim
ummah’s unity and its current crises. Then I have focused on the
path of execution of Muslim ummah’s unity and treatments of
these crises. At last, I have finished the article with conclusion.
