منهج تعليم اللغة العربية في معهد اللغات الحديثة بجامعة داكا ومركز تنمية العلوم واللغات بجامعة السلطان الشريف عليّ الإسلاميّة: دراسة مقارنة وتقويمية
Abstract
The prime concern of this paper is to explore the curriculum of
teaching Arabic language at two institutes: the Institute of Modern
Languages (IML) of the University of Dhaka and the Center for
Promoting Knowledge and Languages (CPKL) of Sultan Sharif Ali
Islamic University (UNISSA), Brunei Darussalam. Afterwards, the
paper focuses on the comparative study between the existing
curriculum of IML and so of CPKL. The Linguists determined that
there are six substantial components of an ideal curriculum to teach
Arabic language for those who don’t speak in it (Non-native
speakers). This paper concentrated on three of them, which are-
Objectives of the curriculum (/01234 54678), Contents of the
curriculum (/01234 9:;<=) and Teaching equipments (?@2@AB;34 CDEF:34).
The form of data collection used by the researcher is based on a
structured questionnaire. An identical questionnaire has been
prepared for the students of both institutes. Tantamount number of
respondents from both institutes answered the questions and
submitted to the researcher. The sample has been selected through
simple random sampling approach. The researcher applied the
evaluative and comparative research method to explore as well as
to analyze the data collected through replies of the respondents.
The findings say that the students of the CPKL are satisfied with
the existing Objectives of the curriculum (/01234 54678) and the
Contents of the curriculum (/01234 9:;<=) while most of the students
of IML don’t think these are suitable for them. In terms of teaching
equipments (?@2@AB;34 CDEF:34), students from both institutes think that
it should be improved according to the demand. At the end of the
paper, the researcher concludes by laying down a few
recommendations to develop the curriculum objectives and
contents and to have sufficient technological teaching equipments
for teaching Arabic Language to the Non-native Arabic learners.
