الغزل العذري و موقف الشاعر عنترة بن شداد منه : دراسة تحليلية

Abstract

Since about 600 B.C, the researchers have been intrigued
regarding the romantic poetry in the field of Arabic literature.
This criticism covers romantic poetry of Ayyame Jahiliyyah,
portrayal of women in in the poetry of Abbasid period, love
poetry of the poets in different ages etc. But the objective of
this article is to evaluate the undercurrent of the virgin poetry
(Al Gazal al Uzri) of Arabic Literature, which has prevailed
from the pre-Islamic era to the present day. Thus, the article
illustrates the definition of romantic poetry, definition of
virgin poetry and its subject matter and characteristics, and
the other issues which are related to the virgin poetry. At last
it will show the dimensions of the virgin poetry and the place
of Poet Antara bin Saddat in this field.
