العناصر التاریخیة في "حرف المیم" لأبي العلاء المعري: دراسة تحلیلیة

Abstract

The Syrian Arabic poet Abul `Ala al-Ma`arry was simultaneously
a renowned poet, a philosopher, a literary, a linguist and a
historian in Abbasid Era. In his poetry he revealed various aspects
of ancient and contemporary Arab history through advices and
historical comments. His poetry is not only invaluable for Arabic
literature but they also excellently exposed various aspects of Arab
history and culture. We have discussed the poetic verses, taken
from the part ( حرف المیم ) of his poetical works ( ,(دیوان لزوم مالایلزم
which described the historical perspectives of ancient Arab.
Firstly, we have attempted to describe the intrinsic meaning of
historical elements related with his poetic verses and then we have
analyzed those historical elements.
