أسلوب الاستفھام في اللغة العربیة : دراسة تحلیلیة

Abstract

The question style has much importance to Arabic readers and
scholars because they use it in their daily conversation. Many
important things depend on correct formation of questions in
Arabic grammar. The purpose of question is made clear to the
listeners by its grammar. I analyzed the "istifham" whose
dictionary meaning is to understand. According to scholars of
rhetoric, it means to acquire knowledge about unknown. It has
four pillars. Questioner, problem of question, answerer and
particle of question. Questions are of two kinds: questions for
complete sentences and questions for incomplete sentences.
They have many particles and separate styles and meanings. I
have described their meanings with examples from the Holy
Quran and modern Arabic literature. Allah is our maker.
