Abstract

Al- Hadith is the second source of Islamic epistemology. Due
to this importance it is being studied multi-dimensionally to
reach an integrated understanding of Islam. Accordingly the
rhetoric excellence of Hadith literature is one the most
appreciated branches that has drawn a considerable attention
from Islamic scholars of past and recent times. This article is
an endeavor to focus briefly on some of the notable
characteristics of eloquence in the sayings of Prophet
Mohammad (P.B.H) such as brevity, tenderness to meet the
meaning, vividness, eloquent narrative and proverbial
approach.
